Of the elongated Pro V paddles, the Hyperion is the quicker, more control-biased one — lighter in hand than the power-first Perseus, with reviewers reporting "less pop than the Perseus" but noticeably "better, deeper and more accurate" serves and stronger dinking. Reddit owners are blunt that it's overpriced and built on old bones: "Soo looks like it's just their current line up with different colors? Got it," and "\$300 isn't worth it, not when we're seeing foam paddles with semi-permanent grit tech at \$100+ less." Joola's Gen-IV core-crush history and fast grit wear hang over the whole line, and the brand's customer service is the single most repeated complaint we saw.
