What it is

The Selkirk LABS Project Boomstik is Selkirk's premium max-power paddle — a PureFoam core paired with the InfiniGrip surface (which holds its texture roughly three times longer than raw carbon), 16mm, elongated, ~US$330. It sits at the top of Selkirk's 2026 power lineup, above the Omni and well above the SLK Era Power.

How it plays

Power is the whole point, and it delivers — reviewers and owners agree the Boomstik is a genuine elite-tier banger's paddle with big pop and a high spin ceiling. The PureFoam core drives the ball hard, and the InfiniGrip surface means you're not chasing grit every few weeks the way you do with raw carbon. For a competitive player who wins points with pace, it's one of the most powerful paddles Selkirk has built.

The price and QC reality — read this

This is where you need both eyes open. The community reaction to the ~US$330 price is blunt and relentless: "\$333 is ridiculous! See ya later Selkirk," and "similar performing brand paddles can be bought for half the price." Worse, the launch drew real quality-control complaints — edge-guard and assembly problems serious enough that owners were told to initiate exchanges, with pointed criticism of Selkirk's "assembled in the USA" finishing. The paddle plays like a flagship; the price and the launch QC are the reasons we score it Situational rather than a clean recommend.

HK reality

SmashPoint lists it in Hong Kong, which is the clearest local-convenience argument for considering it. Check current stock and price with the seller, inspect the return terms given the QC history, and apply the SmashPoint discount.

Bottom line

Situational. A genuinely elite power paddle held back by a punishing price and a rocky launch on quality. Buy it only if you're a competitive player who specifically wants Selkirk's max power and accepts the QC risk. Most players wanting Selkirk power are better served by the SLK Era Power at US$200, or the more controllable Omni.
