What it is
The Selkirk Omni is the 2026 all-court paddle built on Boomstik DNA — a PureFoam core with the InfiniGrit surface and, distinctively, an adjustable weighting system that lets you tune the balance. 16mm, elongated, US$300. Selkirk pitches it as Boomstik power with more control; the community broadly agrees.
How it plays
The Omni's identity is "power you can place." Owners who've hit both are direct that it's "much better than the Boomstik... much more controllable," trading a slice of the flagship's raw firepower for real touch and a more all-court feel. The adjustable weighting is a genuine feature, not a gimmick — it lets you shift between a lighter, quicker setup and a heavier, more stable one. For an intermediate-plus player who wants power without surrendering placement, it's the more usable of Selkirk's two premium paddles.
The catches — read this
Two. First, price: at US$300 it's firmly premium, and the community is openly cynical about Selkirk's marketing-and-colorways rollout ("Selkirk will be studied in business schools"). Second, durability: the InfiniGrit is supposed to outlast raw carbon, but at least one owner reported it going "50% smoother in 3 weeks" and struggling to shape the ball once worn. Neither kills the paddle, but both belong in the decision at this price.

Bottom line
Recommended — the Selkirk premium paddle we'd point most players to over the pricier, harder-to-use Boomstik, thanks to its control and tunability. Docked for price and grit-wear question marks. If US$300 is steep, the SLK Era Power delivers most of the power for two-thirds less.
What players are saying
Player feedback curated from active pickleball communities, ranked by how many other players agreed. No cherry-picking.
I got one, I think it's much better than the boomstik. It does feel much more controllable.
When the grit is gone, it is bad at shaping balls. And my grit was 50% smoother in 3 weeks.
